A week ago, we heard that Josh and Zac Farro (drummer and guitarist of pop punk band Paramore) were leaving to pursue their own musical endeavors. YESTERDAY the brothers officially announced their exit from the group stating the reason being the under-appreciation for their musical contributions to the band (being the original founding members) and also being treated as less important than front woman, Hayley Williams. While the statement is eye-opening into the inner webbings of this band I followed since the beginning, I was surprised by how UNSURPRISING this felt. Knowing the business, I don’t doubt a single sentence in this exit statement and I urge everyone to read it straight from the over-worked, under-appreciated musical talent instead of the nicely fabricated PR statement released by the “band”.
